To you got loud due to his numerous collaborations. Rafael de Cárdenas is an artist in love with American art (especially architecture), a successful art-deco reinterpretujący. This is a thoroughly gifted man - is an architect, interior designer, clothing and furniture. He became famous in the fashion industry, a three-year collaboration with Calvin Klein, for whom designed the male line. Critics say about him that is the biggest hippie among contemporary designers. He loves strong colors and sharp shapes, combining everything in a surprising way. Also involved in the reconstruction of Ground Zero, the site where once a permanent World Trade Center towers. Together with the architect Greg Lynn created a project zagospodarowujący those empty space on the map of New York. An important step in the career of Rafael de Cardenas was the opening in 2005 of his own design office - "Architecture At Large." At the moment it is interior design and furniture. His furniture designer Sam affectionately called friendly beasts. Why the beasts? Since Cárdenas is inspired by different genres and combines things apparently do not fit together. Its strong point is creating a pop-up shop'ów, or going shopping for a certain time in the redesign of this purpose. In addition, the project has scored numerous boutiques, art galleries, hotel rooms and restaurants, located in various places around the world. With more commercial collaboration, the designer can be proud of co-operation with Ford, HBO and Nike. Its collections of furniture is a reinterpretation of the art deco style with a delicate hint of futurism. For his inspiration, the designer mentions Frank Lloyd Wright and Bruce Goff as these two, who had the biggest influence on his work. Cárdenas projects are certainly important from the standpoint of contemporary visual merchandising. In his career he has designed many different shops, from booksellers through the stores with cosmetics spa, through to designer showrooms.
