Is Jesus God? Did Jesus ever claim to be God?

Many people say that Jesus never uttered the exact words: "I am God."
That does not mean that it claimed to be God. For example, the words of Jesus from the Gospel of St. John. John 10:30: "I and the Father are one." At first glance, this finding does not necessarily mean that Jesus claimed to be God. However, look at the Jews' reaction to His statement: "We do not want you to stone for a good deed, but for blasphemy, for the fact that being a man you claim to be God" (The Gospel according to. John 10:33). The Jews Jesus' words for the application to be God. In the following verses, Jesus never corrects the Jews by saying "I did not claim that I am God." This means that Jesus had admitted that he is God, saying: "I and the Father are one" (The Gospel according to Saint. John 10:30). The Gospel according to Saint. John 8:58 This is another example. Jesus declared: "Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am." Again, in response, the Jews take up stones to stone Jesus (John 8:59). Why would the Jews again to stone Jesus if He had not said something, which once again proved to be blasphemous, namely, a claim to be God?

Gospel according to Saint. John 1:1 says: "the Word was God" . The same book, chapter 1, verse 14 says that: "The Word became flesh" . This clearly indicates that Jesus is God in the flesh. Acts 20:28 encourages: "Take heed to yourselves and to all the flock, over which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the Church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood. " Who bought the church with his own blood? Jesus Christ. As the above verse declares that God has his own blood he redeemed the church, Jesus is God!

Jesus' disciple, Thomas, called him: "My Lord and my God! "(The Gospel According to St.. John 20:28). Jesus does not correct him . In the Letter of St. Titus 2:13 we are encouraged to expect that the coming "... our great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ" (see also 2 St. Peter 1:1). In Hebrews the Father says of Jesus: "Your throne, O God for ever and ever, a scepter of justice scepter of thy kingdom."

In the Apocalypse the angel told the apostle John to worship only God (Revelation 19:10). Several times in Scripture Jesus is glorified (The Gospel according to. Matthew 2:11, 14:33, 28:9,17; The Gospel According to St. Luke. 24:52, The Gospel according to. John 9:38). I've never rebukes people for that praise him. If Jesus was not God, he would tell people to not worship him, as did the angel in Revelation. There are many other verses and quotes, which affirm that Jesus is God.

most important reason that Jesus must be God is that if it was not him, his death would not be enough to pay the penalty for the sins of the whole world (1 St. John 2:2). Only God could pay such an infinite debt. Only God could take on the sins of the world (2 Epistle of James. Corinthians 5:21), die and rise again, which proves that Jesus is victorious over sin.
